3. Informed Consent
By booking a session, you confirm that you are entering into this relationship voluntarily and with full informed consent. You understand the nature and limitations of the services offered, the practitioner's qualifications, and that complementary and integrative health care is not a substitute for conventional medical or mental health care.
You understand that you have the right to pause or end any session at any time, and that your comfort, autonomy, and consent are respected throughout this engagement. Consent for any touch-based or spiritually oriented work will be obtained explicitly at the start of each session and may be withdrawn at any time without consequence.
4. Client Responsibilities
To support the integrity and safety of the integrity and safety of this engagement, you agree to:
Provide accurate, complete information on your intake form and during sessions, to the best of your ability;
Inform me of any changes to your health, mental health, medications, or circumstances that may affect the services you are receiving;
Understand that complementary and integrative health care services do not guarantee outcomes and that individual results vary; and
Seek appropriate medical, mental health, or emergency services when your needs fall outside the scope of what I offer.
5. Confidentiality
All information shared in the context of this engagement is held in strict confidence and protected in accordance with my professional ethics codes, including those of INELDA, the Healing Touch Program, and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.
Your personal information, intake form responses, session notes, and any details you share will not be disclosed to any third party without your explicit written consent, except as required by law. Washington state law may require disclosure in limited circumstances, including situations involving an imminent risk of harm to you or others, or in accordance with mandatory reporting obligations described in Section 10 of these terms.
6. Minor Clients
Services for clients under the age of 18 require the written consent of a parent or legal guardian before any session. The parent or guardian must participate in the intake process and consent to the specific services to be provided. I reserve the right to decline services to minors if I determine that parental involvement cannot be appropriately ensured.
7. Right to Decline or Discontinue Services
Anam Illume LLC reserves the right to decline or discontinue services at any time if:
The requested services fall outside my scope of practice;
Your needs require a higher level of care, such as medical, psychiatric, or crisis intervention; or
Continuing the work would not be in your best interest or mine.
In such circumstances, I will communicate clearly and compassionately and, whenever possible, provide referrals to appropriate resources. If services have already been paid for but cannot be completed, a prorated refund will be issued for any unused sessions.

Part Two: Cancellation Policy
12. Discovery Call Cancellations
The 15-minute discovery call is free of charge. If you are unable to attend your scheduled discovery call, please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. Repeated no-shows without notice may affect your ability to schedule future appointments.
13. Session Cancellations and Rescheduling
I understand that life — especially during illness, grief, and end-of-life caregiving — does not always allow for advance planning. I approach cancellations with compassion and flexibility and ask for mutual respect for the time and energy invested in each session.
The following policy applies to all scheduled sessions (End-of-Life Planning & Advocacy, Core Shamanic Healing, and the Hybrid Session):
Cancellation with 24 or more hours’ notice: full refund.
Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice: 50% of the selected session rate.
For Bedside Vigil Support, the following applies:
Cancellation with 24 or more hours’ notice: full refund.
Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice: no refund.
Death occurs before arrival: 50% refund of the agreed session amount.
14. Compassionate Exceptions
Exceptions to this policy are made on a case-by-case basis, particularly for clients navigating active end-of-life caregiving, acute grief, or medical emergencies. Please reach out as soon as you are able if you need to cancel, and I will work with you to find a solution.
15. Practitioner Cancellations
In the rare event that I need to cancel or reschedule a session, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered a full reschedule at no additional charge. If a session has already been paid for and rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued promptly.
16. Late Arrivals
If you arrive late for a session, the session will end at the originally scheduled time to respect other clients and my preparation time. The full session fee applies regardless of late arrival. If you anticipate being late, please reach out in advance, and I will do my best to accommodate you.
