When someone you love is actively dying, the presence of a calm, experienced companion can change everything for them, and for you. I offer a steady, grounded presence at the bedside during active dying. I help maintain a peaceful environment aligned with the dying person's wishes, provide emotional support for the family, and coordinate with hospice staff as a companion; never as a clinical decision-maker. I am also there to give family members permission to rest.
