I. End-of-Life Planning & Advocacy
Service Agreement
What Anam Illume provides
End-of-life planning and advocacy support is an ongoing, person-centered process. Services may include any combination of the following, tailored to your needs and wishes:
• Advance care planning education and documentation support, including advance directives, healthcare proxies, and POLST guidance (education only; Allison does not provide legal advice or prepare legal documents).
• Values-based conversations to help you articulate your wishes, priorities, and what matters most to you.
• Advocacy support to help you prepare questions and communicate your wishes to your medical team, without directing clinical decisions.
• Emotional support and a compassionate presence throughout the planning process and during illness.
• Holistic grief support, presence-based accompaniment through anticipatory grief, active grief, and major life transitions; reflective conversation; and ritual creation and meaning-making support tailored to your beliefs.
• Support for caregivers and loved ones as you navigate the weight of this time.
This service is offered in person or online. In-person sessions are held within Whatcom County, Washington, at a mutually agreed-upon location. Online sessions are conducted via a private, secure video call.
What Anam Illume is not
This practice is non-medical, non-clinical, non-legal, and non-psychotherapeutic support. Allison Maassen is not a licensed medical professional, attorney, therapist, or financial advisor. Services under this agreement will never include:
• Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind;
• Acting as a healthcare proxy or making medical decisions on behalf of any person;
• Legal advice or preparation of legal documents;
• Psychotherapy, counseling, or clinical mental health treatment; or
• Treatment of complicated grief disorders, PTSD, or acute mental health conditions.
If at any point your needs exceed this scope, Allison will provide a warm referral to an appropriate licensed professional. Referral is not a failure of care; it is an act of it.
Sessions & Scheduling
Sessions are 120 minutes long and scheduled in advance through the booking page at anamillume.com. Payment is collected at the time of booking.
Within 24 hours of your session, Allison will send a brief follow-up email. You are welcome to reply with any questions that arise. Outside of this, between-session support is not included in this engagement.
Fees
Services are offered on a sliding scale. Choose the rate that honestly reflects your current financial situation. No explanation is needed.

Standard Basic needs met comfortably $240

Cancellation & Rescheduling
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a 50% fee of your selected session rate. Exceptions are always considered with compassion. Life during this time is unpredictable.
Confidentiality
Everything shared in this engagement is held in strict confidence. Anam Illume does not share client information with any third party without explicit written permission, except as required by law, including mandatory reporting obligations under Washington State law.
Non-Abandonment & Referral
Anam Illume does not abandon clients during an active engagement. If Allison becomes unavailable, she will communicate promptly and help identify an appropriate referral or coverage. If your needs at any point exceed the scope of this practice, a warm referral to a qualified professional may be provided.
Consent & Autonomy
This practice is a consent-based, person-centered engagement. You remain the authority on all decisions within our relationship. Allison’s role is to support, accompany, and witness; never to direct, advise on, or influence your personal, medical, legal, or spiritual choices.
Either party may withdraw consent to this agreement at any time. Either party may end this engagement with reasonable notice. Fees for sessions already rendered will apply.

II. The Hybrid Session: Planning & Presence
Service Agreement
What Anam Illume provides
The Hybrid Session combines practical end-of-life planning with a restorative Healing Touch session in a single 150-minute engagement. The session has two parts, presented in sequence:
End-of-life planning and advocacy, which may include any combination of:
Advance care planning education and documentation support, including advance directives, healthcare proxies, and POLST guidance (education only; Allison does not provide legal advice or prepare legal documents).
Values-based conversations to help you articulate your wishes, priorities, and what matters most to you.
Advocacy support to help you prepare questions and communicate your wishes to your medical team, without directing clinical decisions.
Emotional support and compassionate presence throughout the planning process and during illness.
Holistic grief support, including presence-based accompaniment through anticipatory grief, active grief, and major life transitions; reflective conversation; and ritual creation and meaning-making support tailored to your beliefs.
Healing Touch, which includes:
A restorative energy healing session using Healing Touch techniques, delivered online through distance healing.
Pre- and post-session energetic assessments.
Grounding and integration support at the close of the session.
Healing Touch is a complementary energy therapy. It supports healing and wellbeing. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. No specific spiritual or religious belief is required or promoted.
This service is offered in person or online. In-person sessions are held within Whatcom County, Washington, at a mutually agreed-upon location. Online sessions are conducted via a private, secure video call.
Consent to Healing Touch
Healing Touch requires your express, informed consent before work begins. By agreeing to this service, you confirm:
You consent to receive Healing Touch as part of this session.
You understand that Healing Touch is a complementary energy therapy and not a substitute for medical care.
You may withdraw consent to the Healing Touch portion of the session at any time, including after the session has begun, without affecting any other part of this agreement.
You understand that the Healing Touch component will work with your stated intention for healing and will not extend to work on behalf of any other person without that person's direct consent.
If anything arises during the Healing Touch portion that feels outside what you have consented to, Allison will pause and check in before continuing.

This practice provides non-medical, non-clinical, non-legal, and non-psychotherapeutic support. Allison Maassen is not a licensed medical professional, attorney, therapist, or financial advisor. Services under this agreement will never include:
Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind;

III. Core Shamanic Healing
Service Agreement
What Anam Illume provides
Core shamanic healing is a soul-level healing practice rooted in the Core Shamanism tradition, as taught by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. It works with compassionate helping spirits to restore power and balance in a person's life. A session may include shamanic journeying, power animal retrieval, soul retrieval, and other practices from this tradition.
This work is especially meaningful for anyone navigating grief, spiritual disconnection, or the approach of death and dying. It is ethically grounded, consent-based, and neither derived from nor appropriating any single cultural tradition.
Sessions are held online only, via a private, secure video call. All sessions are 60 minutes.
Core shamanic healing provides spiritual support. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any physical or mental health condition, and is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.
Consent to Core Shamanic Healing
Core shamanic healing requires your express, informed, and specific consent before any work begins. Consent is both written, through this agreement, and spoken, confirmed verbally at the start of each session before the healing work begins.
By agreeing to this service, you confirm:
You are consenting to receive core shamanic healing for yourself;
You understand that this work operates within the spiritual realm and is not a form of medical, psychological, or clinical treatment;
You understand that Allison will work only with the specific healing intention you name at the start of the session, and will not expand the scope of the work without pausing to ask your permission;
You understand that shamanic healing may only be performed for you directly; Allison will not journey on your behalf to work on, gather information about, or send healing to any other person without that person's direct and explicit consent; and
You may withdraw consent at any time, including after the session has begun, without penalty.
At the start of each session, Allison will ask you to state your healing intention aloud and will confirm your consent to proceed before any healing work begins. If anything arises during the session that falls outside your stated intention, she will pause and ask before continuing.
What Anam Illume is not
This practice is non-medical, non-clinical, non-legal, and non-psychotherapeutic support. Allison Maassen is not a licensed medical professional, attorney, therapist, or financial advisor. Services under this agreement will never include:
• Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind;
• Psychological diagnosis or mental health treatment;
• Legal advice or preparation of legal documents;
• Psychotherapy, counseling, or clinical mental health treatment;
• Treatment of complicated grief disorders, PTSD, or acute mental health conditions; or
• Shamanic work performed on behalf of any person other than the client without that person's direct consent.
If at any point your needs exceed this scope, Allison will provide a warm referral to an appropriate licensed professional. Referral is not a failure of care; it is an act of it.

Sessions are 60 minutes and scheduled in advance through the booking page at anamillume.com. Payment is collected at the time of booking.

IV. Bedside Vigil Support
Service Agreement
What Anam Illume provides
Bedside Vigil Support provides a compassionate, grounded presence at the bedside during active dying. Allison Maassen serves as a non-medical companion to the person who is dying and to their loved ones. Support may include:
• Calm, attentive presence at the bedside throughout the agreed block;
• Tending to the dying person's environment: sound, light, temperature, and sensory comfort aligned with their known wishes;
• Emotional support and companionship for family members present;
• Coordination with hospice staff as a companion only, not as a clinical decision-maker;
• Support for the family through the immediate period following death, if death occurs during the vigil block; or
• Referral to grief support resources at the close of the engagement
This service is provided in person within Whatcom County, Washington, only.
What Anam Illume is not
This practice provides non-medical, non-clinical, non-legal, and non-psychotherapeutic support. Allison Maassen is not a licensed medical professional, nurse, or hospice provider. Services under this agreement will never include:
• Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind;
• Administration of medications or adjustment of medical equipment;
• Clinical decision-making of any kind;
• Acting as a healthcare proxy or making medical decisions on behalf of any person; or
• Psychotherapy, counseling, or clinical mental health treatment
If at any time a medical decision or clinical intervention is needed, please contact the hospice nurse or call 911. Allison's role is that of a companion, not a clinician.
If your needs exceed this scope, Allison will provide a warm referral to an appropriate licensed professional. A referral is not a failure of care; it is an act of care.
Session Blocks & Availability
Vigil support is offered in half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) blocks. The block length, start time, and location are confirmed during the triage call before arrival.
If the agreed block ends before death occurs, Allison will clearly communicate her departure time before it arrives and ensure the family has a clear plan. The family may request an additional block, subject to Allison's availability.
Vigil requests are responded to within 24 hours. Allison holds space for urgent requests and will do everything within her capacity to be present when needed.
Fees
Services are offered on a sliding scale. Choose the rate that honestly reflects your current financial situation. No explanation is needed.
Vigil support is offered in half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) blocks. The block length, start time, and total amount are confirmed during the triage call prior to arrival.
Half Day (4 hrs): Community $200 · Standard $320 · Supporter $480
Full Day (8 hrs): Community $360 · Standard $575 · Supporter $860
After-hours surcharge: $50 flat for arrivals before 7:00 AM or after 8:00 PM
Payment is required before Allison departs for the vigil. No exceptions.
Accepted payment methods: credit card (via payment link) or Venmo. Payment details will be included in the email containing this agreement.
Cancellation Policy
Because vigil work requires Allison to hold time and turn away other commitments, the following policy applies:
• Cancellation with more than 24 hours notice: full refund
• Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice: no refund
• Death occurs before Allison arrives: 50% refund of the agreed session amount
Exceptions are always handled with compassion. Please reach out directly if circumstances require a conversation
Confidentiality

This practice is a consent-based, person-centered engagement. The family, and wherever possible, the dying person, remain the authority on all decisions. Allison's role is to support, accompany, and witness; never to direct, advise on, or influence medical, legal, or personal choices.
Consent to this agreement may be withdrawn at any time. Fees for time already committed will be charged per the cancellation policy above.
Agreement
Payment is required before Allison departs for the vigil. No exceptions.
To confirm your agreement to these terms, please reply to the email that accompanies this agreement with the words: "I have read and agree to the Anam Illume Bedside Vigil Support Service Agreement."
Your email reply serves as your consent record. Payment confirms your booking. Allison will depart once both are received.
